Lapp Expands OLFLEX® Tray 3D Cable Product Line

Lapp announces the recent addition to its newest 3D cable product line, the Trayflex® 3D Shielded. This new cable is a spiral shielded, oil resistant, multi-conductor cable with open wiring approval, ideal for any application that requires a continuous flexing, bending or twisting cable.

Due to higher stranding and its specially formulated elastomeric alloy jacket, this cable will withstand temperatures of up to 105ºC, voltages to 1000 V, and exposure to harsh industrial environments. The distinguishing characteristic of the Trayflex® 3D Shielded is its overall tinned copper spiral shield, which provides 95% coverage when EMI/RFI interference needs to be suppressed. Trayflex® 3D Shielded also holds such worldwide approvals as UL Type TC with open wiring approval, MTW, c(UL) CIC or TC FT4, CSA AWM, CE compliance, and also conforms to NFPA 79 for metal working machine tools.

Available in 18 AWG to 2 AWG, the Trayflex 3D® Shielded has a static temperature range from -40ºC to +105ºC, and its flexing temperature ranges from -5°C to +105º. Maximum torsion of +/- 180°, and a minimum bend radius of 10 x cable diameter also helps make this cable ideal for many industrial applications, including robotics, automated handling equipment, pick and place units, cable track, and any system involving a continuous flexing, bending or twisting cable

As part of the worldwide Lapp Group, Lapp Group NA offers a complete one-stop automation solution for cable and connector needs.
